Lip Factory Inc. February Box

My box just came in today! Cutting it very close this month. There was a technical issue that delayed everything, but as always, Lip Factory's customer service is fantastic and they got it all sorted out and shipped to me! Thank you for the great service. (:

A very nice assortment of products!

The Knobs:

- Teez Trendy Cosmetics: Eve's Ready to Wear Lipstick in 'Tempting Pink' (retails for $18.87)
- Teez Trendy Cosmetics: Desert Metals Mascara in 'Tigers Eye' (retails for $20.75)
- Starlooks pan eye shadow in 'Frosting' (retails for $10)
- LASplash Chubby Twist: Auto Matted Lipstick in 'Pink Orchid' (retails for $9.98)
- Eyelashi false eyelashes in 'Girly' (retails for $9)

Total box value: $68.53 (Wow, thank you Lip Factory!)

The Bobs:

Teez products have the coolest packaging.

I love this lipstick! It goes on creamy and is moisturizing but not sticky. It wears very soft and compliments my skin tone very well.

You can never have too much mascara. Sometimes I wear nothing but a little mascara and some lip gloss. Makes me feel confident. (:

The color is a rich brown and goes on smoothly. It separates my lashes while giving them a little bit of a volume boots. They look very nice and natural.

I have not noticed any smudging.

I'm not sure what to think about this shadow. It's a lovely color and would make a great highlight. But it's really hard to get any of the shadow on a brush and there is hardly any pigment.

It is smooth and I'm sure I can get it to work with primer, but I really don't feel this is worth the $10 price tag.

The Chubby Stick goes on matte and even doubles as a light lip stain. It's not very moisturizing but doesn't dry my lips out either.

This is a little more bright then what I would normally wear but I bet it would look great in Spring!

These are really pretty hand tied falsies!

I really like the packaging! I've removed the lashes and recycled the box to hold my Instax Mini 8 Polaroid photos. They fit like a glove!

Final Thoughts:

I'm being really picky with the Bobs, but I really did like everything in the box. It was an amazing value for only $21!

Silver Coin Surprise!

Very few people know this, but I am an avid coin collector. I've been collecting them since I was 10 years old. It's a personal collecting so I rarely ever talk about it. But I was just given an awesome surprise gift from my father and had to show it off because it's..just really really cool.

I was born the year of the dragon in 1988. So this coin is extra special to me. It has the coolest packaging I've ever seen for a special edition coin!

It comes in a hand sized box like this. The box alone is pretty darn neat.

And when you open the box you are greeted to a small dragon egg! The egg itself is part of the collection. It's actually a pretty sturdy plastic and has a soft matte texture.

The case screws open into two halves to reveal the information tag and gorgeous coin.

Is that not the coolest looking coin ever?!

It's a mint .999 silver $2 coin from New Zealand. They made 8000 of this particular coin and the tag that came with it says this one is #428 of the bunch.

This coin was part of the 2012 Lunar Year of the Dragon series.

While I'm on the subject, I have two more really neat silver pieces. One is a coin and the other is a 1 troy ounce silver bar. Both are also oriental in theme. The panda/bamboo detail in the coin is gorgeous. Both were made in 2013, the Year of the Snake.

What's In My Bag?

I'm a very boring person. That said, I decided to jump on the band wagon a little and post up a photo version of the famous 'What's in my Bag/Purse' youtube videos. What I carry around with me varies from the current season and purse I'm using. Some are big, some are small, some are oddly shaped.

The current bag I'm using is a large Fossil purse I received for my birthday in December.

1. Instax Mini 8 (pink)
2. Makeup Bag (re-used ipsy bag)
3. 3DS Project Design Case
4. Mini Green-Inspired Notebook
5. Mini Pen
6. Ray Ban Sunglasses
7. Ear buds
8. Vera Bradley coin case and USB drive
9. Notepad booklet
10. Pill Case
11. Burts Bees/Michael Marcus
12. Keys and hair band
13. Misc. scan/member cards

Also my wallet. Almost forgot it! I've had this Coach wristlet for several years and it is a very sturdy product. They offer a repair service so if I tear or rip it I can send it in to be fixed instead of purchasing a new one.

And my iPhone 5S. It's just a basic black/gray one.

The Instax Mini 8 is a super fun Polaroid camera! The film is credit card size so you can take your photos with you anywhere.

 I love this camera!

The products in my travel makeup bag change on a weekly basis. Sometimes I don't even have this bag in my purse. I mainly carry lipsticks, glosses and chapstick with me.

The brands are fairly clear to see here. I'm not going to list them all.

My Ray Ban sunglasses. I have had this pair for over 5 years now and it has held up very well. Just a basic design and color.

And finally my 3DS! Also pink..I'm starting to see a pattern here.

I keep a few casual games with me to play on the go.

Eldemore.com February Sneak Peek

I though that it would be nice to reward anyone that is a member of Eldemore.com and also pays my blog a visit.

So I've decided to post sneak peeks here now and then.

February Sneak Peak:

Hmm...I wonder what/where this could be?!

Sshhh, this will just be our little secret. (;

Julep Cupid's Mystery Box

Julep had a limited mystery box special for the month of love!

During early February Julep offered 3 different mystery boxes for either Mani, Pedi or makeup lovers. I decided to try the makeup lovers box with the polish 'Lindy'.

For under $30 I got all of these lovely products!

I haven't had a chance to try any of Juleps new makeup and this box gave me a great opportunity at a fraction of the price. I loved everything in it!

The Knobs&Bobs:

The Lindy Box came with 3 polishes, on top of all the makeup!

'Nan'- A bright berry orange.
'Lindy'- An opaque pink/purple effects polish with large shimmer flecks. Polish mattes as it dries. This polish is very unique!
'America'- A fun red glitter polish with small silver and blue glitter bits mixed in as well as large silver glitter stars. Festive!

I also added a polish add-on of 'Karen', which is a slightly opaque peachy/nude glitter polish. My room lighting does the color no justice. It is a much prettier color in natural lighting.

Juleps Sweep Shadow Palette in  'Neutrals' is your basic natural browns and nude shades. The colors are creamy and pigmented with no fall out on the face. But like all palettes it can get a little messy if you're not careful and one color may fall into another color. The palette itself is quite small and could easily fit in a purse or on-the-go makeup bag. The only thing I'm not too keen on is the cardboard material used. The magnet is very strong and will not open without some force. The latch is very weak though and feels like it could tear easily. But those small issues aside, I really like the palette!

Juleps Rock Star Hand Creme works wonderfully and smells wonderful to boot! The twist ring cap makes this a great product to carry on the go.

The Boho Glam Lengthening Mascara in 'Espresso Brown' looks great with my light skin and blond hair. The product goes on smoothly and does lengthen my lashes. I wasn't aware that Julep even had a mascara so it was a very pleasant surprise!

The last product in the box was something I've had my eye on for a while and that would be their Blank Canvas Mattifying Eye Primer. I've been in need of a new primer for a while now and this has to be one of the best I've ever used! It keeps my lids oil free and holds any shadow I put on in place all day. Amazing product!

Final Thoughts:

Just like last time I am very pleased with my mystery box! The products included would cost well over $100 if I were to buy them individually. I will definitely be purchasing more mystery boxes in the future.

February 2014 ipsy Bag

It's the month of love and romance! It's also that time of the month where all my beauty subscription goodies start appearing at my doorstep.

ipsy had a great variety of beauty items available for their monthly subscribers.

If you are interested in ipsy's Glam Bag and the subscription service they provide, please feel free to visit my referral link: http://www.ipsy.com/r/1ejo

The Knobs:

-Zoya nail polish in 'Dot'
-Jesse's Girl 'The Eyes Have It' compact
-J.Cat Beauty lashes in (EL747XS)
-Pop Beauty Plump Pout mini in 'Peony Petal'
-First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser

The Bobs:

Zoya's 'Dot' is a lovely sheer pink polish. It looks very nice and clean on my light complexion but also looks great on ladies with darker skin tones. Zoya is a great polish line!

The Jesse's Girl eye shadow compact I received had mainly earthy green shades. The colors are very pretty but the shadow itself is hard to build. It comes off as chalky most of the colors have a lot of fall out. But if I use a good eye primer and build the color a little it will stay put for a few hours. Again, very pretty colors. (:

I have never worn false eyelashes before. So I watched a few Youtube videos on how to apply them and decided to give them a try. I have to say that I actually liked them! I don't see myself really wearing them anywhere other then a party or night out, but the particular style I received looked very natural and complimented my own lashes well. These J.Cat Beauty lashes came with some glue so that made everything ten times easier for me to try. Nice, affordable and flattering.

Pop Beauty is a pretty new brand to me. They seem to be on the more affordable side of cosmetics and have a variety of products to choose from. The Pout Mini I received is a gorgeous spring pink color! The product goes on smooth, not to sticky and has great color pay off. The only thing that bothers me a little was the odd vanilla smell the product has.

And finally we have the First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser with Red Clay. I have sensitive skin so it can be a challenge to find a good cleanser that won't irritate the skin or dry me out badly. The product works great! While I was a little dry after using it I never noticed any irritation or redness.

Final Thoughts:

A very good bag this month, way to go ipsy! For $10 I couldn't ask for anything better. (:

Happy New Years/Valentines!

Been on a little bit of a hiatus. Very busy with site artwork for eldemore.com as well as administrative duties. Depression is getting me down lately.

I've still been receiving monthly beauty subscriptions, but my photo set up area has been slightly compromised so I will not be posting any of them from December/January. But I am re-organizing everything so I hope to have some February goodies up with quick little reviews later this month.

Happy belated New Years and Valentines! I also turned a year older late December, huzzah!
